Roberta SuggBeacon - Roberta Sugg, a longtime resident of Beacon, passed away on August 7, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 73 years old.Roberta was born on December 28, 1943 in Binghamton, the daughter of the late Robert and Violet Marletta Perlini. On June 23, 1974 she married Richard A. Sugg. Richard survives at home. Roberta retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie. She was a devoted grandmother who loved her grandchildren; they were truly the light of her life.In addition to her husband, Roberta is survived by her son, Greg Lahey and his wife, Carol; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Brett and Julia; her brother, Julius Perlini; her sister, Anita Hardy and her husband, Joseph; several nieces and nephews; and her grand-dog, Brody.Roberta was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Joan Perlini and her nephew, Michael Perlini.The family will receive their friends on Friday, August 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill.
