Roberta Kay (Manley) CarmichaelZANESVILLE: Roberta Kay (Manley) Carmichael, 75, of Zanesville, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House following a brief illness. She was born on August 4, 1938 in Moundsville, WV.She married Harry R. Carmichael in Aug. 1957. Her favorite hobbies were taking care of her home and yard. She was loved by everyone she met and she never met a stranger. She was a longtime waitress and retired from Darrell's Donuts.She is survived by her children, Scott (Christine) Carmichael, Julie (Jeff) Huffman, Susan (Mark) Brill, and Trish (Andy) Murphy; her grandchildren, Slade (Taci) Carmichael, Tony (Taylor) Ramos, Clint Huffman, Tyler Harrison, and twins, Paige and McKenzie Carmichael; her great grandchildren, Delaney and Dryden Carmichael, and Ollie Ramos; one sister, Donna Elson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry, her parents, William R. and Eileen (Cain) Manley, one son, Jeff Carmichael, one grandson, Ryan Huffman, three brothers, Barry, Jerry, and Michael, one sister, Bev.Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon Friday, May 2, 2014 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday with Rev. Sue Ellen Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Heaven's Gate Cemetery near Adamsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
