Robert W. ShackelfordZANESVILLE: Robert W. Shackelford, 87, of Zanesville died at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Willow Haven Nursing Home. He was born on June 27, 1927 in Zanesville, the son of Walter and Gertrude Amore Shackelford.Robert was a WWII Navy Veteran, a former ZDGA Seniors Champ and loved keeping up on national news, world news, and most sports.He is survived by three sons, Steve(Thea), Bobby(Maggie), Jeff (Maryjane), and his sister June Braden; he is also survived by his grandchildren; as well as a dear friend, Ruth Smith. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Norma, whom he was married to for 61 years.There will be no visitation or funeral services scheduled at this time.The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville is in charge of the arrangements.
