van der Zeyden, RobertRobert van der Zeyden, 68 of Jefferson, WI, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at UW Hospital of Madison.The son of the late Albert and Magdalena (van Kreuningen) van der Zeyden, was born on September 25, 1948 in Utrecht, Holland. He immigrated with his family to the USA in 1953 and arrived in Green Bay, WI on March 5, 1953. Robert received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music from Vandercook College of Music of Chicago, Il. He taught instrumental music education at Hortenville and Jefferson, WI and Brownsville, TX before his retirement. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Christ of Fort Atkinson, WI, and an active member of the Lion's Club for many years. He was a devoted son and brother. He took care of his mother at his home in Jefferson her last 5 years and his family was his life.Robert is survived by: his Brother Dr. Cornelis (Joyce) of Livingston, TX; Nephew Cornelis Albert van der Zeyden of McMinnville, TN and his Niece Vickie van der Zeyden of New London, WI.He is preceded in death by his parents and Brother Albert.A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson with Rev. Chris Buckingham-Tayor presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
