Robert Thomas McGinnes Jr., age 49, of Harrisville, died on Friday, Dec.28, 2012. He was born on Oct. 10, 1963 in Wilmington, Del. to Robert and Mattie Jo McGinnes. Rob moved to Oscoda in 1973 and graduated from Oscoda High School in 1983 and has worked in construction ever since. He was a member of the Oscoda Eagles and played pool for the Hilltop Bar. Rob also played pool and horseshoes for the Mikado Legion and Eagles. He is survived by his mother, Mattie Jo; brother, Paul D. McGinnes; and sister, Tracy D. McGinnes (Barton). Rob is also survived by nieces and nephews, Tane McGinnes (Martin), Paul McGinnes Jr., Amanda Buckman, David Buckman Kresher, Brianna McGinnes, Kyle McGinnes, Alyssa Barton, Shayna Barton, Grand Nephews, Seth Kennedy and Hunter Martin. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. A gathering will take place to celebrate Rob's life at 5730 E. Medor Rd. in Harrisville, MI 48740 on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 starting at noon.
