SHELBYVILLE - Robert "Bob" D. Ross, 73, of Shelbyville, KY, passed away on Aug 12, 2016 in Fredericksburg, VA doing what he loved most in life... flying. He was born on Jan 18, 1943 in Flemingsburg, KY, a son of the late Alexander "Doc" and Edith Blanch Buchanon Ross. Bob was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a retired CPA and former owner of Ross & Co. in Louisville. Bob is survived by his wife of 14 years, Judy Horn Ross: his children, Anita (Gabe) Ross, Jeffery (Yvonne) Ross, Lavita (Jason) Miller, and Lee Ann (Darrell) Preston; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Tommy (Mary Ann) Ross, Ann (Charles) Crislip, and Brenda (Dickie) Dillon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert L. Ross, and Terrell Ross. Funeral services will be 11am Sat, Oct 15, 2016 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Visitation will be 5-8pm Fri, Oct 14th at the funeral home. Burial with Military Funeral Honors will be at 3pm Sat, Oct 15th in Gethsemane Gardens in Prestons-burg, KY.
