We are saddened to announce the passing of Robert Smith, born on March 23, 1948, He resided in Goodrich, Michigan. He peacefully left this world on June 22, 2024. Robert was born in Kentucky and always felt a strong connection to his place of birth and family. Robert had a fun sense of humor and did not hesitate to make people around him laugh.

Robert was the beloved son of Robert and Alma Smith. He leaves behind his partner Lorena Robinson, two loving children, Alma Lemke (Thomas Lemke) and Viola Sprague.

During his career, Robert worked at General Motors - Buick City in Flint, Michigan.

Robert found joy in various hobbies throughout his life, including hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing the guitar.

He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.

Robert is survived by his partner, two children and seven beloved grandchildren; Hope Lukasik (Wayne), Emily Malinski-Nissimov (Ben Nissimov), Graham Sprague, Griffin Sprague, Isabella Sprague, Luke Lemke, Jack Lemke. He leaves behind siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Robert will be missed and always loved. May he rest in peace.
