Robert L. TerrillThousand Oaks, CARobert (Bob) L. Terrill went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2016 at the age of 84. Bob was born on his grandparent's farm in Hickory County, Missouri on November 26, 1932. He graduated from high school in Kansas City, Missouri. During high school, Bob joined Farmers Insurance Group as a mail room clerk. After various promotions, he transferred to the Colorado Springs office.It was in Colorado Springs where Bob met Joan, the love of his life. They married on November 5, 1960 and soon welcomed two children, Patty and Jon, to their family.In 1967 the family moved to Thousand Oaks, California, where Bob continued his career with Farmers until his retirement in 1998.Bob was an avid gardener and took pride in having the greenest grass on the block. His backyard garden always had the most beautiful flowers, fruit, and vegetables. Bob loved to BBQ and never missed an opportunity to grill a feast for his family. Robert is survived by Joan, his wife of 56 years; daughter, Patricia (Steve); three granddaughters, Sara (fianc? Joe Sampson), Laurel, and Kelly Johnson; his sister Carol Sue Duncan; and numerous nieces and nephews.Bob was preceded in death by his son, Jon R. Terrill; his parents, Marion & Anna (Vale) Terrill; and his sisters, Helen Morris and Shirley Tucker. The Memorial service will be held at Living Oaks Church (1033 Business Center Circle, Newbury Park, CA) on December 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
