Robert L. Schust, age 91, of Greenbush and formerly of Saginaw passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at his home.Robert was born on Aug. 28, 1919, in Saginaw to Gustave A. and Alice (nee Prior) Schust. He graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in business. He was a district sales manager for 40 years for Sunshine Biscuits, Inc. Robert was also retired from the United States Navy, where he was honorably discharged on Aug. 28, 1979, as a lieutenant commander. During his life, he was also a member of Oscoda Yacht Club, Saginaw Country Club, Lakewood Shores Golf Resort, Germania Town and Country Club and Sigma Chi. Robert is survived by his children, Robert L. (Pat) Schust Jr. and Brad Schust, all of Saginaw, and Craig (Jennifer) Schust of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Brandon Schust, Brian Schust, Bret Schust, Jessica Schust, Justin Schust and Amanda L. Knarr. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane E. Schust, on Sept. 16, 2004. Visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home with Father G. John MacDonald officiating. Interment followed in Sims-Whitney Cemetery in AuGres.
