Robert was born on June 16, 1933 in Augusta, GA to the proud parents of Robert and Leola Johnson who preceded him in death. Robert leaves to celebrate his homegoing: his loving wife of 62 years, Elmira Stance Johnson; his children, Reginald (Marilyn), of Cedar Hill, TX, Lamar (Cassandra), of Shreveport, LA and Gene (Veronica) of Frisco, TX. He leaves 5 grands, 2 great-grands, 5 brothers,1 sister, a host of relatives and friend. He loved his family, cooking and Grambling Football. Mr. Johnson was a deacon and faithful member of Hollywood Baptist Church, under Pastor, Edwin Scott.The body will lie in state on Monday, June 19th from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. and the family hour will be on Monday June 19th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Tuesday morning, June 20th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel, 3701 Hollywood Ave Shreveport, LA.
