Robert E. Hallage 85, of Greenwood, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017.  He was born on September 4, 1931 in Greenwood to the late Morris and Lydia (Brickley) Hall. Robert served his country by enlisting in the Navy and served for over 18 years before returning home. After his military service, he worked as a security guard. He was known as a dutiful son to his mother. He enjoyed gardening and cultivating his garden.He is survived by two nieces, Brenda Eads (Paul) and Tracie Russell (Jeff), both of Indianapolis; his nephew, Gene Dillon (Rochelle) also of Indianapolis. He also is survived by numerous great nieces and nephews as well as other extended family and close friends.Aside from his parents Robert is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Dillon, Dorothy Hall; and a nephew, Steve Dillon (spouse, Theresa Dillon, who survives him).A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1530 Union Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225) with calling held after 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
