Robert Sortwell, 63 , passed away on Saturday June 21 , 2025 at the Summerville Medical Center in Summerville , SC .

Robert was born in Webster, MA on May 30 , 1962 . Robert greatly enjoyed being outdoors whether boating or taking a long drive; he also enjoyed going out to eat with those he loved as well as engaging in lengthy conversations, Robert was certainly a talker.

He is survived by his parents William and Patricia (Gardner) Sortwell; his fiancée Michelle Hryzan of Summerville, SC ; his daughter Bethany Robertson of TN; two sisters Linda Moon and her husband Paul of FL, and Debbie Jones and her husband Tom of TN; he also leaves one granddaughter Aleighya Robertson as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his brother Mark Sortwell.

Robert lived a fulfilling life in Summerville, where he was known for his kindness and generosity. He was a dedicated member of the community. Robert Sortwell will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering compassion. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.Rest in peace, Robert Sortwell. You will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Robert's life will be held on Wednesday June ,25 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 2009 Village Camp Rd, Spencer, TN 38585 .
