BURLINGTON - Robert A. Kuhn, age 49, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Wisconsin Dells. Bob was born on November 24, 1962 to Rupert and Jeanette (nee Wilfert) Kuhn. After Rupert's passing, Bob was lovingly raised by his mother and step-father, Jim Brandes. Bob was a lifetime resident of Burlington and a part-time resident of Wisconsin Dells. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and was a graduate of Burlington High School. On January 6, 2005, Bob was united in marriage to Maria Carmen Oertel. Bob owned and operated Slumberland Furniture in Delavan. He enjoyed riding his Harley, working on Fiats, working in his garden, boating on the Wisconsin River and spending time in his garage. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family, friends, his puppies, and living life to the fullest. Survivors include his loving wife, Maria Kuhn, his children; Paige, Jenna, Robert, Kayla, Lydia and Kelsey, and siblings; Steve Kuhn, Teri (Jim Philip) Kuhn, Randy (Robin) Kuhn, Tammy (Pat) Molumby, Ginny (Ralph) Braden, Kim (Greg) Epping, Tim (Darlene Kelly) Brandes, Patti (Dean) Sturdevant, Karen (Tom) Madison and Jackie (Bob) Epping. Bob is further survived by his father-in-law, Howard Oertel, sisters-in-law; Jodi (Dave) Miller and Sheila Oertel, his canine companions; Otto and Chesser and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert Kuhn, Jeanette Brandes, and his step-father, Jim Brandes. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, from 3:30 PM until 6:30PM.
