Coy, Robert A.Robert A. Coy, 80, of Montrose, PA, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Wilson Hospital, Johnson City, NY. He was born on October 1, 1936 in Franklin Twp., PA to the late Eugene A. and Elizabeth C. (Mead) Coy. He is survived by his loving companion of 12 years, Beverly (Fraser) Chapel. He is also survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Nancy Coy, New Milford, PA, Allen and Amy Coy, Montrose, PA, close member of the family, Pam Oleniacz, Kingsley, PA, grandchildren, Renee, Ryan, Raelene, Ashley, Amber, Tanya Cameron, Erika Megivern, and Shaun Holtzmaster, great grandchildren, Melina, Owen, Emmory, and Beverly's daughter, Sheri, sister, Dorothy Carter, Montrose, PA, brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Eleanor Coy, Montrose, PA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Heidi Snow, Montrose, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was also predeceased by his wife, Miriam E. (Snow) Coy, in 2004. Robert was a Montrose High School graduate and owned several businesses. He was a great craftsman. He was a member of the Montrose United Fire Company for 59 ½ years, he was the past president and trustee, and the relief treasurer for 20 some years. He was a life member of the New Milford Rifle and Pistol Club, NRA, and member of the Board of Directors for EMHS. He attended Franklin Hill Presbyterian Church, Forest Lake Baptist Church and was a member of the Franklin Forks United Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, PA with Pastor Joe Travis officiating. Visitations will be from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Interment will be at the Brookside Cemetery, Franklin Twp., PA.
