We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Robert Jones, who passed away on August 9, 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina at the age of 77. Robert was born on May 23, 1947 and lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Robert, known to many as Bobby, was a true character with a sense of humor that could light up any room. He had a knack for telling jokes and always had a funny story to share. He could make even the most serious situations seem a little less daunting with his quick wit and infectious laughter.

In addition to his humor, Robert was also a dedicated and hardworking individual. He proudly served in the army as a sergeant, where he demonstrated great bravery and leadership. He always took pride in his work and was highly respected by his colleagues.

Outside of his military service, Robert was a devoted husband to Brenda Jones, whom he married in 1975. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Dereack Jones Sr. and Robert Jones Jr. Robert was a loving father who always put his family first and cherished every moment spent with them.

In his free time, Robert enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and laughter. He loved watching them grow and achieve their goals, and was always there to support them in any way he could.

Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His laughter, kindness, and zest for life will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

As we say farewell to Robert, let us remember the countless memories he has left behind and continue to honor his spirit by living each day with love, humor, and a touch of mischief.
