Eberhard, Rita A.Rita A. Eberhard, age 81, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2017. She was born on September 9, 1935, daughter of the late Edwin and Eva (Nepper) Berg. She married Russell W. Eberhard on October 18, 1958. Rita could plan and serve a gourmet meal with little notice. She welcomed all visitors when they stopped and enjoyed lively conversations with both friends and relatives.Rita is survived by her husband, Russell; her brother-in-law: Gary (Margaret) Eberhard; sisters-in-law: Lynda and Kathleen Berg, Doris Eberhard; a special niece, Mary Ellen Eberhard and her family; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Edwin (Mary), James and John Berg and Noreen (Lee) Remmel; her sister-in-law Geneva (Richard) Graham; her brothers-in-law Leslie (Mildred) and Harrison Eberhard.Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond Street, Appleton, with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating. Visitation will be at the chapel on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Rita's name.
