Ma Rinnell Serae Curry, 33, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on July 4, 2021 due to a fatal accident.

Rinnell was born on August 15, 1987 in Mississippi. She attended Meachem Elementary and graduated from Bishop Ludden High School. She also attended Hofstra University where she became a member of the Xi Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Rinnell was a very outgoing person who enjoyed shopping, traveling, and seeking new challenges. She previously resided in New York City, California, Massachusetts, and finally North Carolina acquiring many friends and associates. Her favorite pastime was spending quality time with friends and family.

Rinnell was preceded in death by her biological mother, Florinda J. Curry and grandparents Marcus and Agnes Curry. She is survived by her guardian aunt, Karen M. Lee; 5 sisters, Karla M. Green (Dexter) Krystal Herndon, Dominquie Herndon of Syracuse Jasmine Johnson of North Point, NC, Shannon Herndon of Decatur, GA; two favorite aunts, Robyne Daniels (Matthew) and Eloise Curry (Marcus) both of Syracuse, NY; as well as her Godfather, King Bryant (Juanita) of Franklinton, NC; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Lastly, she leaves to cherish her cat, “Fancy.”

A Celebration of Rinnell Serae Curry’s life will be held on Saturday, July 17th at The Promise Land Church, 100 Eisenhower Ave., Syracuse, NY 13057. Delta Sigma Theta’s Omega Omega Service will be held at 12:00 noon followed by funeral service at 12:45pm.
