Rilla "Bea" Anderson, 88 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Nye Legacy in Fremont, NE. Bea was born on June 28, 1928 to Jesse James and Rilla Mae (Foote) Crumpton in Kansas City, KS. She grew up on a farm near Kansas City, MIssouri and lived in and around the Kansas City area until moving to Nebraska 10 years ago. Bea married Alvin Raymond Anderson on July 30, 1965 at Fairmount Christian Church in Independence, Mo. Bea worked in the clerical field for various companies and volunteered for the National Council on Alcoholism until obtaining her GED and Bachelors Degree. At that time she became NCA's Intervention Specialist where she oversaw the employee assistance programs for Hallmark and other companies. Her life's work was with the family disease of Alcoholism. Bea was a member of Al-Anon and sponsored an Alateen group. She was a past member of the Blue Ridge Methodist Church in Kansas City. She enjoyed playing Gin and played in tournaments in Las Vegas. She loved planting and caring for trees. She was a fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Milton) Odvody of Morse Bluff, NE; grandchild, Rilla Marie McCullick and special friend Robert Baker of South Sioux City, NE; great- grandchildren, Shelby Schmitt and special friend, Zac Thramer, Naomi (Nykola) Nyznyk and Daniel Schmitt; great-great- grandchild, Judah Nyznyk, and 5 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Daniel Hatfield; brothers, Harry Crumpton, Paul Crumpton, and Jesse Crumpton; sisters, Velma Wussow and Katherine Miller; 5 nephews and 1 niece. Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend, NE. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday and family will greet visitors from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be 2 P.M., Thursday at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo, NE.
