RACINE - Ricky Warren, age 53, passed away peacefully at WFH- All Saints Hospital on Saturday, May 4, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born on April 15, 1960, in Racine to the late Troy and Margaret Warren. Ricky graduated from Case High School. Ricky was employed by Racine Steel until the company closed. His favorite hobby was racing cars and he was a member of a car club. Ricky also enjoyed cooking for those he knew and loved. He was a people person, so Ricky never met a stranger. God blessed Ricky with many talents and one of these talents was the gift of playing music by ear. He could hear a song and echo it right back on the guitar or piano. The times Ricky cherished the most were those he spent in the company of his loving family. Ricky leaves to cherish his memories; stepsons, Dontrell and Chucky Flowers; brothers, Sylvester (Melvina) Scott, Roy Scott; sisters, Lee Gillespie, Annie Scott, Alfreda Gray, Hattie (Jeff) Thomas, all of Racine and a host of other caring relatives and friends. Ricky will be dearly missed by a special friend, Angela Boutwell. The family would also like to express a heartfelt note of thanks to Dr. Marc Kennedy and his staff at WFH- All Saints for the incredible care and support given to Ricky and our family. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11am, at Greater Mt. Eagle Baptist Church, 929 State St, with Pastor Keith T. Evans officiating. Visitation will be at the church, 10am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery following the service.
