Mr. Rickey Hamm, age 62 of Parkton, North Carolina was born on May 21, 1959, to the late Mr.Elmer Gene Hamm and Joy Revels Gurley in Baltimore Maryland. He departed this life into eternity on Tuesday, December 01, 2021, in Cumberland County.
Rickey was a people person and enjoyed fellowship with close friends that he considered his family. He had a compassionate heart and cared for people and did not judge people for their shortcomings or mistakes. He understood the scripture in Romans 3:23 we all fall short in life, we make mistakes, and none are perfect. He gave constructive advice and encouragement through words and actions. He accepted Christ and knew that heaven was to going to be his home. Rickey was a Carolina Panthers Fan, enjoyed football, fishing and wrestling. His favorite quote was "Keep Pounding"
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Phillip Jodean Hamm, and Jonathan Wayne Hamm both of York, South Carolina. one daughter, Rachel Wylie and husband Ronnie of Lancaster, South Carolina; his mother, Joy Gurley, and stepfather, Owen B. Gurley of Parkton, North Carolina; Michael Hamm and wife Deb of Waxhaw, North Carolina; two sisters, Joellen Hamm and Linda Gurley both of Parkton, North Carolina; his companion, Tawana Fields, five grandchildren, Hannah, Haleigh, Raelynn, Havah, Cameron, and a niece Tawana Fields along with a host of nephews, other relatives and friends.
