On January 28, 2025, God reached His hand out to Richard Ulysee Burns-Lee, and said, "Son, it's time for you to come home." Richard took His hand and said, "Father, I've been waiting for you so I could take my rest." Richie, as we all affectionately knew him, left his earthly home and transitioned to his eternal home.

Richie had some men that made marks in his life; his stepfather, Matthew Lee, that raised him to his adulthood and his stepfather, James Moore , that raised him in the way that a man should go with God.
Richie graduated from EE Smith High School in Fayetteville NC. After graduating he married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Wright of which two beautiful children, Laniese and Levon were born.
Richie joined the US Army and received numerous awards, to include, M16 Expert Badge, Parachute Badge, Handgrenade Expert Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Drivers Badge, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
