Richard Lee Muckey, 67, passed away on October 14, 2017 at his home in Mayhill, NM surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on February 13, 1950 in Denver CO to Lloyd and Pearline Lola (Slusher) Muckey. He very much enjoyed camping, fishing, four wheeling and talking on the phone with his brother and Sons-in-law. He loved listening to Oldies and working in his immaculate yard. Richard was liked by many children in his neighborhood in Brighton, Colorado who used to come often to visit. He is survived by his loving wife, Cruz Santana Muckey of the family home in Mayhill; son, Richard Lee Muckey, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Los Alamitos, CA; daughters, Dawn Muckey Speicher and Steve Miller of Dolores, CO, Jessica Muckey Mogus and husband Bob of Craig, CO; step daughters, Sonja Hernandez and Josh of Elizabeth, CO and Jana Heft and Eric of Carlsbad, NM; step son, Felix Calderon III of Las Cruces, NM; sisters, Barbara McCeen of Pueblo, CO, Caroline Carey of San Antonio, TX, Pam Claycamp of Wichita Falls, TX, Deanna Muckey of Russellville, AR and Lois Cole and husband Cameron of Moriarty, NM; brothers, Mike Muckey and wife Carol of Wyandotte, OK, Steve Muckey and wife Jody of Denver, CO and Ramon Muckey of Edgewood, NM. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Gingles and both parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Sacred Heart Mission in Cloudcroft, NM by Celebrant, Father Theo.
