1926-2016 Richard "Dick" K. Cooper, 90, died September 26, 2016 at Overland Park Regional Hospital from a stroke. He had resided at Bickford O.P. Memory Care since 2015. He was born on a farm near Louisburg Kansas to Kenneth Keith Cooper and Mary Mabel Whitaker Cooper July 11, 1926. Dick graduated from Bucyrus High School. He was a WW II Army Air Core Veteran. He worked as a printer at the Kansas City Star 34 years and lived in the Shawnee Mission area. Preceding him in death were wife Ila Rowene Price Cooper, son Dennis Keith, brothers Robert and Dale, and granddaughter Hollie Cooper. He leaves a sister Hazel Studeville, one daughter Carol Ann Rau, son in law Carl, grand daughters Carla Roberts, Hillarie Carroll, Jennie Nash and 10 great grand children. Services will be held Oct. 7 5:00 and the Elm Grove Baptist Church in Chiles, Kansas. Memorials can be made to the Elm Grove Baptist Church, 15375 247 th St., Paola, Kansas 66071
