Richard Higgins, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 23, 2025, just three days shy of his 89th birthday in Hagerstown, Maryland, United States.

He was born on February 26, 1936, to Wallace and Pauline Higgins. In 1989, he married the love of his life, Cindy Higgins, and together they had one child, Shannon Higgins, who is survived by their spouse, Kelly Higgins. Richard was a devoted father and grandfather to four grandchildren.

Richard worked as an electric lineman for CW Wright in Richmond, Virginia, until his retirement in 2000. He had a passion for mechanics, Nascar, and the Washington Redskins. In his free time, he could often be found tinkering in his workshop or cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Richard was a kind and generous man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He fought a brave battle with cancer, and although he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Services will be held on February 26, 2025 at Hagerstown Baptist Church 6pm-8pm.
