He was born on November 24, 1955, in Sarnia.Richard married Deborah Sue Steele, on June 26, 1998, in Port Huron.He was employed by Esso in Sarnia and loved traveling.Richard is survived by his wife, Deborah of Fort Gratiot Township, 2 children, Jessica and Tyler, mother, Ruth Hassett of Sarnia, stepson, Joshua (Victoria) Grattan of Port Huron, granddaughter, Lilly, brother and sister-in-law, Bob (Karen) Hassett of Sarnia, brother, Harry Hassett of Sarnia, brother, John Hassett of Sarnia, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave (Kathleen) Steele of Casco Township and several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his father, Jack.Memorial services will be 1:00pm Thursday, July 27, 2017, in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.
