Greguire, RichardRichard P. Greguire "Butch", 55, of Wausau passed away on Monday July 31, 2017 at The UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 29, 1961 in Wausau to Richard and Virginia (Koppa) Greguire. Rick earned his high school degree from alternative education. Following high school he continued his education and began his career as a chef. He cooked at many locations in the Wausau area but enjoyed cooking for family and friends the most. His greatest joy was winning the Iron Chef Award. Rick is survived by his mother, Virginia Otto and step father, Allen Otto of Wausau, a brother, Tim of Wausau, sister, Chris (Michael) Barrington of WI Rapids, sister, Amanda Greguire Baumann of Hazelhurst, step-brother Mike Roberts of Wausau, and step-sister, Carmen Robert of Wausau. Rick is further survived by aunts: Joanie (John) Stiel of Wausau, Peggy Truax of Florida, and Sue Dawson of Mondovi, many cousins, dear friend Dorothy Ann Nikolai of Wausau, who he lived with during the last few weeks, and his precious cat T.C. He was preceded in death by his father, and partner in life of 8 years, Jay Fernandez.A celebration of Rick's life will be held on August 19, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Eagles Club, 1703 S 3rd Ave, Wausau. Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
