Richard D. Waterman a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, to join his beloved and forever missed wife, Judy Banos.Richard D. Waterman was born on Dec. 2, 1954 in Omaha, Neb. to Howard and Genevieve Waterman.Richard was a loving, devoted father, friend, mentor and caretaker to many. Richard prided himself in helping others and sharing his passion and trade of computer technology and graphic arts with the youth and community. Richard's kind heart and spirit will forever remain among our community and the hearts of family and friends he forever touched.Richard D. waterman is survived by his daughters: Crystal K. Parkinson and Jennifer Parkinson of Las Vegas; son: Tony Rogers of Las Vegas; grandchildren: Judy A. Parkinson, Tyson R. Parkinson, Andres Padilla, Lacy and Stacey Erickson, Aiden Rogers, Rhiannon Waggoner; great-grandchild: Tanya Waggoner; brother: Robert Waterman of Omaha, Neb.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Services will be held at a later date when all friends and family members may attend to celebrate Richard's life. An announcement will be made in the Optic prior to services so all that want to attend may do so.
