Richard Paul Bridges1955 - 2014Richard Paul Bridges, 58, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at his residence.He was born on Dec. 2, 1955, to the late John M. and Betty June (Wood) Bridges in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.Richard entered the U.S. Marines on Sept. 2, 1981, and was honorably discharged on Sept. 1, 1985.On March 18, 1995, he married the love of his life Cynthia R. Clay at Apostolic Faith Church.Richard worked as a tanker driver at Quality Carriers for several years.Richard was an active member of Apostolic Faith Church.Richard was in the Teamsters Local #43.Richard enjoyed playing the saxophone, camping, traveling, eating out, reading and playing video games. He was a huge Elvis fan. Richard loved his family and friends, especially his wife Cynthia.Richard is survived by his wife Cynthia; his son, Jason P. Bridges of Racine; his stepchildren, Jason M. (Heather Montague) Kent and Rachel Wathen both of Kenosha; his grandchildren Lilly, Nolan, Alyssa and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Kailey and Brayson, his siblings John (Carol) Bridges of Appleton, Archie (Debbie) Bridges of Indianapolis and Diane (Waino) Kleimola of Racine and his mother-in-law, Betty M. Clay of Kenosha.He is preceded in death by his sister Betty.Funeral Services for Richard will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Apostolic Faith Church (1021 95th St. Pleasant Prairie) at 11 a.m. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church and again on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
