Richard "Rick" BeldenAnderson, CARick was born on February 11, 1950 in Westwood, CA, to Leonard and Shirley Belden. He passed away suddenly on July 17, 2017. He was a lifetime residence of Anderson, CA and an Anderson High School graduate of 1968.Rick served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked in the lumber industry before going to work and retiring 2 years ago from the Bureau of Reclamation (Dept of the Interior) at Shasta Dam.Rick was an avid outdoors man, hunting and fishing were his passion. He was the California State Champion turkey caller from 1979-1983. He especially enjoyed his yearly elk hunting trips to Oregon and Montana.Rick is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Belden and niece Tara Belden. He is survived by his wife Pegi (Scheer) Belden of 37 years; his mother, Shirley Belden of Anderson; brother Rock (Gayla) Belden of Cottonwood, CA, and nephew Dallas (Kendra) Belden of Durango, CO, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Rick was our family rock and will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday July 29th at 11:00am (potluck style) at 6698 Meadowlark Lane, Anderson, CA.
