With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Woods Jr, who was born on November 24, 1949, and passed away on December 29, 2025, in Webb, Mississippi, United States.

Richard was the beloved son of Richard Woods Sr and Betty Lewis-Woods. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his four children, Lemar Hudson, Jerry Hudson, Richard Mcclain, and Gloria Mcclain, as well as eight grandchildren.

Richard attended West Tallahatchie High School and graduated in 1968. He went on to work as a farmer, where he dedicated his time and efforts to providing for his family.

Aside from his work, Richard had a passion for music. He was known for his skills as a guitar player and his soulful singing of blues tunes. His music brought joy to those around him and will forever be remembered.

Richard passed away after a brave battle with cancer. He faced his illness with courage and grace, never losing his positive spirit.

Richard Woods Jr will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
