Richard Thompson, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 53. He was born on December 7, 1971.

Richard had a fulfilling life, raising three wonderful children - Cody, Noah, and Ellaura. He was also blessed with two grandchildren.

He attended Old Mill High School, graduating in 1989. Richard went on to proudly served in the Navy. He worked at Asplundh Tree , Morganfield Police, and the City of Des Moines.

Richard had a passion for hunting, fishing, and shooting competitions. He loved spending time outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature.

Although he will be deeply missed, Richard leaves behind cherished memories with his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
