- Richard Root, a beloved member of the Livonia community, was taken from his family on October 3, 2024, at the age of 48. Born on April 13, 1976, Richard was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He had a passion for music and spent countless hours sharing his love for it with others. Richard's outgoing personality and infectious smile brightened the lives of all who knew him.
- He leaves behind two children Damien and Cashia Sampson. As well as three sisters Laurie Gialone, Angie Contrastato, and Heidi Dunn.
- He was perceeded in death by the love of his life Rebecca Sampson. As well as both his Grandmother & Grandfather Patricia and Ronald Sampson.
- He was known for his love of cooking, music, and watching the Detroit Lions as well as The Red Wings hockey team.
- He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Richard's legacy of kindness and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
