Richard Peterson, 94, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed on July 08, 2022. Richard was born on September 01, 1927 at Milwaukee Hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Rusk County, Wis., to Lawrence and Alice (Wade) Peterson. Richard proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He moved to Milwaukee in 1962 with his brothers. He was employed by Vance Cast and Stone and helped lay the bases for the Mitchell Park Domes. He retired from Eaton Controls, formerly Singer Co., in 1992 after more than 20 years. Richard was a quiet man who enjoyed puttering around the house, lawn care and going for his early morning walks. He was a devoted family man who loved the times he could spend with his children and especially enjoyed his grandchildren stopping by.

Dick is survived by six children and their spouses, Barbara (Gary) Biggers, Beverly (Mel) Hoffman, Richard Peterson, all of Idaho; Deborah “Debbie” (Thong) Somulaylack, Elgin, Ill.; Mark (Gail) Peterson, Town of Scott; Lori (Guillermo Gomez) Peterson, Milwaukee; many grandchildren with special grandchildren, Amanda, Chazz, Noah and Antonio; great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ted Peterson, Harvey (Ruth) Peterson; a very special uncle, Clarence “Clunker” Wade; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Emery and Roger “Chet” Peterson; and a sister, Eleanor Groetzinger.

Special thanks to all the surgeons, nurses and staff of Wisconsin Heart Hospital in Milwaukee for their valiant effort and for their kindness shown to our family.
