It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Cook on April 24, 2023. He was born on October 30, 1954, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Andrew Cook and Gladys Norris-Cook.
Richard was a loving husband to Linda Cook, whom he married August 16, 1975. Together, they had two children, Maurice Cook and Courtney Cook (Amir Glenn). Richard was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Kimani Glenn, Amirah Glenn, James Thomas and BrysonTrapp.
Richard attended Spartanburg High School and went on to work in construction and plumbing. He was a hard worker, and his dedication to his craft did not go unnoticed by his colleagues and clients alike.
Richard will be remembered for his kindheartedness, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richard Cook's passing is a great loss for his family, friends, and community. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
