Rev.Roy Scott, 58, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed on March 24, 2023 at his home. Roy was born on November 16, 1964, in Anderson, SC. Rev. Scott is the son of the late Mr. Robert Calvin (R.C.) Scott, Sr., and the late Mrs. Melleane Kay Scott. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He acknowledged his calling by God to preach the gospel at the age of thirty-four.On January 30, 2005, Rev.Scott became the Pastor of his home church, Trinity Baptist Church, where he has been pastoring for ten years. In February2008, he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by Union #1 of Rocky River Baptist Association, Anderson, SC. Rev. Scott has devoted his life to do the will of God and he loves to preach the word of God.

Rev. Scott was a graduate of Westside High School in Anderson, SC. He furthered his studies and graduated from Morris College School of Religion and NJ Brockman School of Theology, Greenville, SC. 

Rev.Scott leaves to cherish his memories: the mother of his beautiful child and wife, Chenice Scott; a daughter, Chantal Scott of Charlotte,NC; a bonus son, Tristan(Melanie) Scott of Apopka, FL; two brothers, Joe (Wanda) Scott of York, SC and Samuel (Jannie) Scott of Fayetteville, GA; two sisters, Melleane (James) Conyers of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Vicky Scott of Fountain Inn, SC; one grandchild,numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces who he loved and they called him “Uncle Scott”; and many dear cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home, 103 First Day St., Piedmont, SC, 29673.
