Renault Shinall, a beloved resident of Chicago, Illinois, was called to his eternal rest on May 2, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on August 5, 1960, Renault lived a life filled with joy, passion, and dedication. Known for his kind heart and gentle spirit, Renault touched the lives of many with his infectious laughter and unwavering generosity.

Renault excelled in school at Chicago Vocational Academy before going to Grambling State University on a band scholarship. His love for music and sports would be a passion he continued until his final days. A huge fan of the Chicago Bears and Bulls, he would take his saxophone or clarinet and play outside the stadiums before games. He would go on to record professionally under the recording name Jazzy Kat.

Renault is preceded in death by his mother Lois Royal and his father Elex McGuire. Renault leaves behind four children, Renault Jr, Ja' Varz, Tinaa, and Ezra. Renault also was a grandfather to 3; Carrington Cade, Journee, and JaRaiya. He leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces as well as brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his mother Lois Royal, his father Elex McGuire.
