Santellano, 80, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.Remigio was born on Feb. 25, 1937, to Juan Santellano and Sofia (Leyva) Santellano in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico.He worked for the railroad for many years before retiring. His hobbies include being at the ranch tending to his animals and planting vegetables.Pallbearers are Brandon Gonzalez, Andres Cuevas, Michael Pedroza, Johnny Martinez, Hemero Dominguez and Matilde Dominguez.He is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Sofia Santellano.Remigio is survived by his wife of 56 years, Juanita Santellano; sons Remigio L. Santellano Jr., Rudolfo Santellano and wife Teresa and Robert Santellano and wife Dena; grandchildren, Rudolpho Santellano Jr., Jennifer Santellano, Maryann Gonzalez, Christopher Santellano and Yvonne Cuevas; great-grandchildren; Sophis Govea, Braydon Cuevas and Mya Gonzalez; brothers Juan Santellano, Pedro Santellano and Eloy Santellano; sisters Elena Moreno and Mercedes Franco; and numerous brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.Viewing is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2107, in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian burial is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Joey Faylona, officiating.
