LIGONIER — Rebecca Ann Lewis, 43, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away at her home on the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 9, 1972, the daughter of Ralph and Nancy (Poindexter) Lewis in Richmond, Indiana. You could always find Rebecca with her nose in a romance novel or a sci-fi book. Reading was her favorite pastime. The cartoon character also known as Garfield, was something that Rebecca collected. A story to remember her by with growing up with many siblings is that if she couldn't be on the wagon, she made sure to drive the tractor. Family time was something that was always on her to-do list. Being a great aunt showed through to her never ending love for her nieces and nephews. She will be terribly missed by her mother, Nancy Lewis of Ligonier, Indiana; her siblings, Randle (Michelle) Lewis of Modoc, Indiana, Robert (Christina) Lewis of Kendallville, Indiana, and Richard Lewis, of Ligonier, Indiana. Additionally her aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews will miss her. Rebecca was preceded in death by her grandparents, three uncles and beloved father, Ralph. Family and friends are invited to share in the celebration of Rebecca's life on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana. Visitation also Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at Culberson's Funeral Home, 51 S. Washington St., Hagerstown, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Culberson's Funeral Home in Hagerstown beginning at 1 p.m., with a visitation from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Chaplain Ken Weaver will officiate. Burial will follow at the Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland, Indiana.
