We mourn the loss of Rebecca Kelly, who passed away on April 27, 2024, at the age of 78 in LaPlace, Louisiana, United States. Born on July 18, 1945, Rebecca was the beloved daughter of the late John Willie McClean and Willie Mae Brown. She was also preceded in death by her partner, George Lee.

Rebecca leaves behind a legacy of love through her nine children: Cozell Kelly (Joann Kelly), the late Leon Kelly, Vincent Kelly (Sadie Kelly), Keithen Kelly (Erica Kelly), the late Chanel Johnson, Anthony Kelly (Kendra Battie), Detroy Kelly, James Kelly (Sheri Kelly), and stepchild Darryl Braggs (Lisa Braggs). She was also a cherished grandmother to a host of grandchildren.

Rebecca attended Alfred Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School and later worked as a dedicated school bus driver. In her free time, she enjoyed attending church, spending quality time with her family, and playing bingo.

Rebecca will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
