We gather here today to bid farewell to Raul Villarreal Jr, who met his unfortunate demise on December 8, 2024, after a tragic encounter with a motorcyclist while attempting to cross the street in Whittier, California.
Raul, born on August 1, 1951, lived a colorful life filled with laughter, love, and a penchant for lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a proud parent to Raul Villarreal III and Veronica Delgado, as well as a doting grandparent to five grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Raul wore many hats - from his days as a student at a US Military high school to his time serving in the Marines USMC as a PFC in the Motor pool unit for 3 years. After his military service, he pursued a career as a long-haul truck driver, eventually retiring in 2021 as an owner-operator based in Pico Rivera.
When he wasn't on the road, Raul could be found pursuing his various hobbies, from strumming his guitar and singing to tinkering with electronics and customizing home and car speaker systems. He was known as a jack-of-all-trades, always ready to lend his expertise as an all-around handyman.
Raul will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his kind heart, and his unwavering generosity. He may have crossed paths with that motorcyclist on that fateful day, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
