“A golden heart has stopped beating” Ralph N. Castillo passed away peacefully on November 22, 2015 at the age of 83 after a long illness. He was born in Raton, New Mexico to Nicanor and Felicitas Castillo on June 12, 1932. 

The discipline and patriotism he learned while he served in the The US Navy between 1952 through 1956 never left him. He received the medal of Honorable Conduct, National Defense, Korean medal, United Nations and China Service.

He is survived by his wife of more than 40 years Rosario, his brother Alvino, wife Celia, his sisters Mary, Viola, Isabel and Phyllis. Ralph leaves behind his son Ralph (Rafael) Castillo Jr. and his daughter Giselle. He also leaves behind his step children: Joe, Florencia, Rosario, Jose de Jesus, Clara y Alberto; 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
