Ralph Davis Obituary

Apr 14, 1948 - Mar 22, 2023

This obituary is administered by:

Born April 14, 1948 Ralph learned the truth at a young age along with his family. From a very young age his family was always in service together and he took doors on his own. Ralph was always climbing in the trees, going up as high as he could. One time he was so high up he got into the small branches. Some of them broke and down he came. One time he came down on his head but that didn’t deter him. He loved the trees so much he went to work for the City of San Diego. Doing what he loved best, climbing trees and trimming them. But, Ralph loved Jehovah more than anything else. When he would sing at the meetings he would always sing loud. Sometimes the brothers and sisters would say something to him about his loud singing. He told them he was singing to Jehovah. He spent his life in service to Jehovah. He enjoyed service so much he kept applying himself to his God. He was baptized at a young age. He became a servant and then an elder. He married his wife, Sharon, and they worked in the full time service together for 40 years as regular pioneers. They loved Jehovah so much. They served as regular pioneers until his wife, Sharon had a stroke that left her left side paralyzed. Ralph showed how much he loved her by the way he came to her aid at a drop of a hat. When Ralph would be in service, if Sharon called for help he was always ready to leave service to come help her. He did this for 12 years until she passed away on September 15, 2021. In time, Ralph wanted to move closer to his siblings, Steve Davis from Oklahoma City, Danny Davis from Joplin, Missouri and Nancy Salisbury from Lamar, Missouri. So, he moved to Oklahoma. When he first moved to Oklahoma he stayed with his brother Steve and attended the Capitol Hill Congregation. He enjoyed service and attending meetings at Capitol Hill for a short time. But, he soon decided to move to Enid, Oklahoma. Soon he found a place to live and settled into the Enid congregation. Ralph was able to re-enter the full time service. He came to really love all the friends in Enid and enjoyed going in service with them
