Rachel L. HastingsSalisbury-Rachel L. Hastings, 80, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.She was born on November 19, 1936 in Manchester, New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Henry and Jeanne Letourneau.Mrs. Hastings was a wonderful homemaker and loved spending time with her family and her husband, who meant the world to her. Throughout the years, she and her husband enjoyed going on vacations and cruises together. She loved to read, dance, and go to the movies. She loved to shop for jewelry; and always looked beautiful wearing the pieces she purchased. In her early years, she also enjoyed playing tennis.She is survived by her daughters; Gail Murphy (Richard) and Sandy Nuse (David) all of Salisbury; grandchildren, Patrick Harshman, Aaron Hastings, Melissa Nuse, Kristin Hallowell (Neil), and Brent Murphy all of Salisbury; great grandchildren, Logan, Travis, Mason, and Jackson; step-grandchildren, David Nuse, Jr.,Jonathan Wood, Karoline Wood, Savannah Wood, Sydney Wood, and Madison Wood; siblings, Fred Letourneau of Vermont, Robert Letourneau of Florida, Simone Letourneau of Florida, George Letourneau of Ohio, and Dolores Reith of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Hastings; and sisters, Cecile and Theresa Letourneau.A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar.
