Mr. Phillip P. Mickles, age 71, of East Bend passed away on Monday August 12th, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Mickles was born on September 22nd, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Richard Lee Mickles and Naomi Hobson Mickles. Mr. Mickles was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was known affectionately as Pop Phil by his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mickles was preceded in death by his brother William Mickles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years Lola Mickles of the home; one son Chad (Barbara) Mickles; one daughter Holly (Chad) Pilcher; one sister Norma Mickles Puckett; and two grandchildren Tyler Pilcher and Katlynn Mickles all of East Bend.

A funeral service for Mr. Mickles was conducted on Thursday August 15th, 2013 at 2pm at Huff Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Michael Thames officiating. Burial followed in the Huntsville Baptist Church cemetery. The family will received friends from 1pm to 2pm prior to the service.
