    • God loved you more that he brought you home to be with him. Weep a little but prepare yourself for this travel one day.
    • Am resting now, and I have peace with God.

Phillip Benns, born on July 16, 1962, answer God's call to enter rest from his earthly body. He passed away on February 11, 2025, predeceased by his loving parents, James and Mary Benns, and two brothers, James (Jimmie),and Elton (Sunny boy). Phillip lived a full and colorful life.

Phillip attended his education in the Norfolk Public School System. He was known for his incredible work ethic and dedication to his jobs, whether he was detailing cars or taking care of janitorial work.

When he wasn't working, Phillip would often be found indulging in his hobbies of singing and dancing. He had a true passion for music and movement, and his outgoing energy would light up any room. He enjoyed his family and friends. He was just a loving person to have known.

Phillip was a person that spoke kind of anyone, even if he was being mistreated, he would not speak bad of that person and didn't like if you spoke bad of that person. He was just kind and loved his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, (Lester Tyrone) Sheila, five sisters, Cynthia (Williams), Renita (Mack), Sandra, Carolyn, and Katrina. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Although he may have left this world, but his memory will live on through the laughter and joy he brought to all that knew him. Rest in peace, dear brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. You will be missed.
