Phil was born in Kane, PA and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Slippery Rock University. He moved to Colorado where he met his wife and married in 1982. They began their family there and then re-located to Omaha, NE. Phil experienced a variety of professions over a lifetime including building houses, working fireworks displays, sampling soil, hotel management, and phone work for reservations and technical support. 

Phil loved his family, classic cars, collecting coins, old Westerns, Star Trek, dad jokes and anything Elvis.

Proceeded in death by mother and step-father, Mary Lou Van Tassel, Charles Riggins; father, Daryl Lingenfelter. Survived by wife, Gladys; sister, Charlene Koivisto; brother, Jack Lingenfelter; children, Philip H. Demson (Rhianna), Kristen Sharp, Jamie Honke (Donald); grandchildren, Abigail, Alicia, Christopher, Lucas; many nieces and nephews.

Memorials in honor of Phil can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association.
