After attending Breland Academy, Peggy enjoyed a career in Cosmetology and became the first beauty store owner in Columbia, MS. Her most recent endeavor led her to become a co-owner of P & J Fashions. She, along with her husband, Rev. Johnnie, were fashion consultants ( Hats, Suits and Accessories) for men and women, not only in Marion County, but in other cities and communities as well. Peggy's journey brought her back to Columbia in 1975, and there she met the love of her life, Rev. Johnnie Pittman, Jr. To this union two more children were added, and without hesitation, Peggy quickly shared her love and nurturing spirit upon their blended family. Peggy was great supporter of her husband's ministry. The hour glass , with its sand of time, spilled over its contents, and with the passing of the last sand Mrs. Peggy Jo Pittman entered into a peaceful sleep with Jesus on July 20, 2023.
