Paul Z. Kalavski, Jr. 1955 - 2016ROME - Paul Z. Kalavski, Jr., 61, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with his family by his side.He was born on February 9, 1955, the son of Paul Z., Sr. and Jamie (Swafford) Kalavski. Paul graduated Bel Air High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Tulane University. He also attended the University of Puget Sound School of Law. He was employed as a dealer at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino. Previously, he had worked as the Director of Computer Services at PSI Associates, Inc., in Bethesda, MD, where he was Employee of the Year in 1989 and 1990.Paul is survived by his sister, Jean (Kalavski) Ryan, of Canastota, NY, and her husband James; nephew, Christopher Ryan and his wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Owen, Elodie and Violet, of Shoreview, MN; his nephew, Nicholas Ryan, of Canastota; and niece, Catherine Ryan, of Brooklyn, NY.Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.
