Paul Freed, age 90, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was born on October 27, 1927 in Souderton, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul Freed and Eva Fox Freed. On June 25, 1950, he was married to Mary Gilbert Freed who preceded him in death on July 10, 2017. A retired carpenter, Mr. Freed was a member of the Lansdale Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as an Elder and Bible Study teacher. In earlier years, he worked with the Pathfinders, the church youth group. He loved to read and study his Bible. He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Cheryl Bartholomew of Fort Worth, Texas. Donna and Tim Bainum of Bonnerdale, Arkansas, Bonnie and Darrell Taylor of Fairfield, Montana and Connie and John Clinton of Honolulu, Hawaii; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Ceil Morton of Warrington, Pennsylvania; three brothers, James Freed of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, Richard Freed of Houston, Texas and Bill Freed of Galveston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2017, in the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Brandon Westgate officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery under the direction of Davis- Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
