AVILLA — Paul Blaine Byerley, 80, of Avilla, died at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Mr. Byerley retired from International Harvester. He was a member of Sugar Grove Church of God. He was born on Jan. 20, 1936, in Fort Wayne to Albert and Evelyn (Couts) Byerley. On March 5, 1955, he married Loretta Bennett. She preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, David (Sharon) Byerley, Gary Byerley and Mark (Tammy) Byerley, all of Avilla; a brother, Gene (Jackie) Byerley of Grabill; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sugar Grove Church of God, with Pastor Timothy Grable officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
